Our Story

At Mor Well-Being we focus on a holistic experience. We work closely with each patient along their Well-Being journey. “Mor” is pronounced the same as “more” and means “Mother” in Norwegian. My own mother is of Norwegian heritage and I draw inspiration and strength from a long line of amazing Norwegian women. To mother is to nurture, which is what I offer, but also to empower, which is what I encourage all clients to do within their own lives- nurture their own well-being through life style improvement.

Biff, Licensed Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist, understands the unique, complicated, and ever-changing dynamic within each person to find their best state of well-being. She enjoys working with each client to find the right life-style balance necessary for true health. Biff develops long-lasting relationships with her clients, becoming a distinctive part of their wellness journey..

Biff’s Massage style is a hybrid of Eastern Techniques such as Tui Na, a Chinese tradition of Massage, and Shiatsu, from Japan, with the more familiar Western or “Swedish” forms of Massage Therapy..

Biff, by far, is the best massage therapist I have ever had! As someone who is very physically active, I struggle with muscle aches and soreness frequently. Biff is intuitive in her approach and knows exactly how to adjust the pressure levels to achieve maximum comfort and relief. She is sensitive to her client's needs, thoughtful, and pragmatic. I have always felt reinvigorated after leaving a session all while mentally scheduling the next! -L.Friedman

Approaching a strong need for some self-care and after trying a number of different therapies and therapists, Biff was a life-saver. She listened to my needs and focused my treatment specifically on my particular problems. Every session was professional, therapeutic, and yielded exceptional results. Biff was willing to listen as well as work in silence, depending on the session. Without fail, I left every treatment feeling better, lighter, and with reduced tension and pain. Would recommend to anybody searching for a good massage therapist, whether new or old. -M.Proctor

‘Biff was my regular spa therapist on trips to New York City. I suffer from tightness in my shoulders, lower back and legs, which have only got worse in middle age. Biff’s treatments were always extremely effective. Like many men, I have a concern that a female therapist might be overly gentle. What distinguishes Biff is how she combines an impressive knowledge of techniques from different approaches and traditions, with real strength. Biff was always able to find the right level of pressure from low, where necessary, to high for the most deep-lying aches. She could also read exactly what was going wrong with my body and had an unerring ability to find the source of any pain. I can recommend her without hesitation. I’ve never come across a therapist like her, and I know that her former colleagues in New York have nothing but the greatest respect for her skills.’ -H.Kassim

Every massage I received from Biff was a unique experience. She always tailored the massage to speak effectively to the aches, pains, ailment and mood I was experiencing in that moment. Biff is extremely knowledgeable about the body and about Chinese medicine. She has taught me to care for myself more effectively. Simply put, Biff is superb at her craft. -E.Washington

I've been getting regular massages for a few decades, so I've met many many massage therapists. So many do a good job, but it's the same good job every single time you see them -- serious automatic pilot. Biff starts every massage with a discussion of how you are doing, what's new, what is bothering you the most. Then she tailors the session to addressing the needs of the day. She is also a terrific team player, communicating with my physical therapist about addressing together a current issue (they recorded video messages back and forth!) and adding her expertise to his to move things along more quickly. (You can drop this if acupuncture isn't now on the menu, of course). It was also a huge asset that Biff is an acupuncturist. For "stuck" muscles the occasional use of needles was just the thing to jumpstart their becoming fluid again. I worked with Biff for 3 (?) years and when she moved, I was and still am in mourning. My friend and I used to see her in successive sessions, and now when we see the replacement massage person, we call it "Getting a Biff." I recommend her heartily and enthusiastically, and I envy you the chance to have her in your region and work with her regularly. -L.Allen
